JAKARTA – The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine would be divided based on priority zones. In addition, he also mentioned that foreign workers in the country can also access the vaccine program.

“The President’s directive is that workers who have a KITAS (Limited Stay Permit Card) or KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit Card) can also use the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine mechanism,” said Airlangga in a press conference held online at the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Monday, May 3.

Apart from being given based on priority zones, this vaccine program will also be given to companies that have registered with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“(Giving, red) is based on companies that have registered with the Chamber of Commerce and of course based on the type of industry that is prioritized for labor-intensive activities”, he said.

Furthermore, Airlangga said, the Ministry of Health would make a Mutual Cooperation Vaccine regulation through a Minister of Health Regulation. This regulation will later regulate the price of vaccines and the types of vaccines.

“Regarding the type of vaccine, the Sinopharm vaccine, which has committed to enter a total of 7 million (doses, red) with 7 million and 7.5 million Sinopharm options, which are already binding, are targeted until July. The options are 7.5 (million) and there are 5 million Cansino is in the process”, he explained.

For information, the government has designated the Sinopharm vaccine to be used as a standalone vaccine, under the name Gotong Royong Vaccine. This vaccine is given to employees, families, and individuals free of charge.

This means that companies implementing this program must provide the COVID-19 vaccine for free to employees and their families.

The government will bring in 15 million doses of Sinopharm Vaccine from China which is divided into several stages of delivery during 2021, the delivery process will be regulated by state-owned company PT Kimia Farma.

In the fourth week of April, it is scheduled to receive 500 thousand doses of Sinopharm Vaccine, then from April to July 2021 there will be an additional 7 million doses, then in the 3rd and 4th quarters, there will be another 7.5 doses.
