Visiting Indonesia on Visa On Arrival

Visa on Arrival: maximum of 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days at the Immigration Office in the area where the foreign national lives.
Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose can also be granted for foreign nationals on official visit or government duties to attend international events, for which shall be applied additional requirement: to enclose an invitation letter issued by the Indonesian government to attend the international conferences/trials/meetings.

Coming to Indonesia, you will currently need :

  • Valid Passport of at least 6 months
  • Fill out an EDC form (link depends on entry point – attached is for Soekarno Hatta)
  • Payment of the VoA: IDR 500,000
  • Complete Vaccine Certificate (second dose at least 14 days before departure)
  • A return ticket or a pass to continue the journey to another country

As per these regulations, incoming international travels do not require a PCR/Antigen Result. PCR/Antigen Results will only be performed on the spot when traveller shows symptom in the airport checking (e.g body temperature >37.5 °C).

Foreign nationals (WNA) are allowed to enter Indonesia with criteria as follows:

  • In accordance with immigration regulation ruled by Ministry of Law and Human Rights
  • In accordance with bilateral agreement such as Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA)
  • Written permit by the Ministry/Institution
Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose are granted for foreign nationals at the Immigration Checkpoints as follows:

For every other foreign nationals which countries are not listed above must apply for a visa through a sponsor, who is a corporation/travel agent/visa agent/hotel residing in Indonesia.
