FROM THE OFFICE OF WEST JAVA GOVERNOR RIDWAN KAMIL
Governor Ridwan Kamil wants to meet multinational companies who operate in West Java to brief them on the latest Covid-19 situation in the province (very grim) and the severe shortage of oxygen tanks. Governor Ridwan Kamil will explain the West Java Government strategy to address the situation. He wants to see if there can be formed a consortium of foreign companies that may help contribute to the provision of oxygen tanks for West Java, no matter how small. The oxygen deficit is alarming—deficit of around 150 tons of oxygen per day, and this number will increase in the coming months judging from evolving situation on the ground. Governor Ridwan Kamil also wants to build a West Java strategic stock of oxygen tanks in anticipation for the next waves. Companies who attend next Tuesday’s corporate roundtable are not obliged to contribute but at least they can listen to the Governor’s briefing and hopefully willing to help save lives.
